Dr. Julia Marshall (she/her) is an incoming professor at Brown University. She received her PhD in psychology in 2020 from Yale University, working with Dr. Paul Bloom. Afterward, she was an NSF SBE post-doctoral fellow at Boston College where she worked with Dr. Katherine McAuliffe.

 

She is interested in all questions related to social cognitive development. Her current interests include understanding how children (a) respond to wrongdoing and why, (b) reason about social obligations, and (c) social groups shape moral thinking. To address topics, Julia leverages developmental & cross-cultural approaches.

In her free-time, Julia enjoys to run, hang with her cat, & watch football.
